Salvation Verses
The greatest gift — God's plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.
I will call on the LORD, {who is} worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great. {made...: Heb. multiplied me}
The LORD liveth; and blessed {be} my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
{He is} the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
Although my house {be} not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all {things}, and sure: for {this is} all my salvation, and all {my} desire, although he make {it} not to grow.
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite. {Araunah: also called, Ornan}
{Yet} if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; {bethink...: Heb. bring back to their heart}
And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
(And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime. {as beforetime: Heb. as yesterday, and third day}
And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, {and were appointed} for all the work of the {place} most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
And they set themselves in the midst of {that} parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved {them} by a great deliverance. {set...: or, stood} {deliverance: or, salvation}
