Love Verses
God's unconditional love and how we are called to love one another as He loves us.
But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.
And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him. {pleased him: Heb. was right in his eyes}
And Saul commanded his servants, {saying}, Commune with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king hath delight in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the king's son in law.
And Saul saw and knew that the LORD {was} with David, and {that} Michal Saul's daughter loved him.
And thou shalt not only while yet I live shew me the kindness of the LORD, that I die not:
But {also} thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever: no, not when the LORD hath cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.
And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul. {because...: or, by his love toward him}
And Saul said, Blessed {be} ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.
Saul and Jonathan {were} lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions. {pleasant: or, sweet}
I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.
And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them, Blessed {be} ye of the LORD, that ye have shewed this kindness unto your lord, {even} unto Saul, and have buried him.
And now the LORD shew kindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this kindness, because ye have done this thing.
