Motivation Verses

And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God; {basons: or, bowls} {finished: Heb. finished to make}

Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in {all} the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers {were} as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up {their} voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, {saying}, For {he is} good; for his mercy {endureth} for ever: that {then} the house was filled with a cloud, {even} the house of the LORD;

And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, {saying}, For {he is} good; for his mercy {endureth} for ever.

And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy {endureth} for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood. {by their...: Heb. by their hand}

Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. {So} the house of the LORD was perfected.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that {was} before the porch of the LORD. {abominable...: Heb. abominations}

And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah. {was...: that is, was encouraged}

And, behold, Amariah the chief priest {is} over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king's matters: also the Levites {shall be} officers before you. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy {endureth} for ever. {that...: Heb. praisers}

And when they had finished {it}, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, {even} vessels to minister, and to offer {withal}, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver.
