Faith Verses
Verses about trusting God and believing in His promises, even when you cannot see the way.
Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen {it}: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: {for} thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated {things} faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite {was} ruler, and Shimei his brother {was} the next.
And next him {were} Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in {their} set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small: {next...: Heb. at his hand} {set...: or, trust}
And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness: {set...: or, trust}
Thus saith Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do ye trust, that ye abide in the siege in Jerusalem? {siege: or, strong hold}
Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them {were} Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set {it} forward; and {other of} the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.
That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he {was} a faithful man, and feared God above many.
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give {it, I say}, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou {art} righteous:
And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them {was} Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office {was} to distribute unto their brethren. {treasuries: or, storehouses} {next...: Heb. at their hand} {their office...: Heb. it was upon them}
